Built for heavy-duty service and designed to be easy to use in a variety of solutions, Plastocon open delivery carts are an important addition to your correctional food service operation. Available in two and three shelf models, they come with load capacities up to 1000 pounds. These carts can take the heaviest use and abuse you can give them. Even the largest units are still designed with a compact, efficient footprint that makes the best use of your operating space.

Aluminum/Stainless Steel Open Delivery Carts
Plastocon's carefully designed and quality manufactured open delivery carts allow visibility throughout the entire cart for security and easy viewing procedures. Trays are suspended on slides with easy access to individual meals. The open design facilitates quick and efficient cleaning between meals. Aluminum or stainless steel open delivery carts are available in 24 and 48 tray configurations and are engineered for years of maintenance-free operations. Plastocon carts can also be custom built for your facility.
Construction: Aluminum, designed for economy
Formed from one piece of material, the sides consist of .063" thick, high strength aluminum with die formed contour ledges that measure 1 3/16" wide, spaced on 3 1/2" centers. The solid, seamless top and bottom are constructed from one piece of .063" thick, high strength aluminum attached to the cart's sides with 1/4" diameter blind rivets.
Construction: Stainless Steel, designed for strength
Formed from one piece of material, the sides consist of 18 gauge type 304 stainless steel with die-formed contour ledges that measure 1 3/16" wide, spaced on 3 1/2" centers. The solid, seamless top and bottom are constructed from one piece of 18 gauge type 304 stainless steel attached to cart's sides with 1/4" diameter blind rivets.

Each compartment is equipped with two vertical pan stops in the center which are attached to the cart's top and bottom. A tray retention device, constructed from 1/4" diameter stainless steel rod, is attached to the cart at each compartment opening (the retention device is held securely in place during transit).
Open Heavy-Duty Correctional Cart
With a load capacity of one ton, these carts are designed and built to withstand the rigors of correctional handling. These carts are designed to transport inmate meals in insulated trays, plus accompanying beverages, in configurations large enough to serve up 136 inmates per cart. Carts constructed of extra heavy gauge stainless steel with all welded construction...these are our best carts!
These units come standard with semi-pneumatic casters.
